A Day of Water Adventures: Bali Day 5

Early in the morning, we seized the quiet moments before the kids awoke. Hand in hand, we strolled along the beach, took in the breathtaking view near the infinity pool, and captured the tranquillity in photos. The morning continued with my favourite activity – an invigorating yoga session in the open garden right before the sea. The cool air, yoga stretches, and meditation created a serene start to the day.

Fitness with Fun

The joy continued with an aqua aerobics class, combining fitness with fun. Exercising in the water with an enthusiastic coach and fellow hotel guests led to new friendships formed during our stay. This routine became a daily ritual throughout our stay, offering cool morning air, yoga stretches, and a delightful workout. What more could a fitness freak like me could have asked for?

Water Volleyball and Infinity Pool Bliss

The day unfolded with water volleyball, where my husband and kids, along with other guests, enjoyed a spirited game. The enormous infinity pool, offering a breathtaking view of the sea, provided a serene escape. The tranquillity, enhanced by the absence of kids in this pool, created a peaceful retreat.

Thrilling Water Activities

The excitement reached new heights with a series of water activities. We embarked on kayaking, took a glass bottom boat ride to the tortoise park, and marvelled at the variety of tortoises while feeding them. Parasailing provided mesmerizing views from high above, FlyBoard was like flying in air through water pressure below and the underwater sea walk offered an immersive experience, walking undersea and interacting with the vibrant marine life.

Unforgettable Foam Party

The day’s highlight awaited us at the resort – a special foam party with the kids gone all mad. Dancing and playing in the foam rain, the resort’s unique and exhilarating activity became a memory to cherish. The resort rightly declared, “If you think money can’t buy happiness, come to Grand Mirage and Thalasso Spa resort and see how you bought happiness for your kids.”

Spa Serenity to Conclude

After a day packed with adventures, we concluded with a visit to the highly-rated Zahara Luxury Spa. Welcomed with tasty green tea and biscuits, we indulged in a soothing foot massage and a couple’s Balinese full-body massage, providing the perfect finale to an exhilarating day in Bali.

Tips of the day:
  • Heavy scope of bargaining is there for the water sports. They initially gave us the figure, 5 times more than what we actually paid them.
  • Underwater sea walk our 6-year-old could not do. Well, it depends on every other kid. But it’s worth trying. They paid us back his amount.
  • Tortoise Park is not that well-maintained and is underrated. They forced us to buy a tortoise and set it free in the sea for good fortune, which we thought was a very stupid thing to do.
  • Apply a thick layer of sunscreen. I got badly sunburned and had to take treatment for it.
  • Carry a bag of snacks along, if going with kids. Activities take time.

As we reflected on the day’s escapades, the memory of the foam party, yoga, aqua aerobics and the underwater sea walk lingered, creating a tapestry of unforgettable moments in the heart of Bali.
