Sailing into Memories: Our Amazing Cruise Adventure with JCI
We’ve stepped back onto solid ground, but the echoes of the sea are still ringing in our ears, and the hangover is real—not from a wild night but from the whirlwind of joy aboard the Cordelia Cruise.

As I sit down to pen down my reflections, the lyrics of a song we sang on the cruise resonate in my mind, “Pyar ki kashti me,
leharo ki masti me,
Pawan ke shor shor me,
chale ham jor jor me,
Gagan se dur…”
This incredible journey was made possible by the meticulous planning and execution of the JCI team. From nashta at the railway station to food packets on the train, bus drops, breakfast at Hindu Gymkhana Club, room arrangements on the cruise, lunch at National Sports Club of India and the famous Bhagatchand Tarachand dinner boxes on the train. They handled everything like pros.
Cruises are meant to be enjoyed with great company, and JCI proved to be the perfect group for the adventure. What could have been tedious waiting times during check-ins and checkouts were transformed into moments of laughter and connection. Dancing in the cruise’s disco, attending captivating shows, relishing suppers, and savouring sunsets—all were elevated by the company of this fantastic group.
The cruise itself was a treasure bucket of entertainment and activities. The detailed daily itinerary allowed us to choose the events that suited our interests. For me, the highlight was the live musical band. While I missed a few shows due to parental duties, my husband stepped in, ensuring I didn’t miss out on the rhythmic magic that filled the air.
We also had a magic show that blew our minds. The magician was super smart, played mind games, and guessed numbers like nobody’s business. The way he connected a couple through his tricks was amazing.
The sunsets on the cruise deck were the best times. DJ sessions and poolside activities made it even more fun. We even raised the flag of JCI Ujjain, shouting “Jai Shree Mahakal.” We took lots of pictures, but honestly, it’s probably time to enjoy moments without phones, especially since there was no network on the cruise.
With five meals a day and so many tempting options, keeping a diet plan was tough. But all the dancing and walking made up for it. Saying goodbye to everyone at the station was a bit sad, but I hope we have more trips with the fantastic JCI group. Big thanks to JCI for putting together this amazing tour.
Until the next adventure—smooth seas and happy sails! ⚓?? #JCICruiseMemories
