Statue of Unity with JCI club!
55 couples with kids, 3-day tour from Ujjain to Baroda and back, 2 nights train journey, Lots of bus journeys, Stay at Hyatt Hotel, Neon party, Pool party, Visit The Statue of Unity, Swaminarayan temple at Poicha, What a wonderful trip!
It was our first tour with such a big group. Some known, some unknown people, but now all of them have become a family. Joining the JCI group feels worth it. All JCI members are friendly and fun to be with. JCI management team is on another level altogether. Throughout the trip, we were feeling like, “Hum koi baraat me aaye hai“.
The bus journeys from station to hotel and other destinations were comfortable and funfilled with music, dance, jokes and laughter. Our kids made friends and learnt to adjust and socialize, which was much required, after a long lockdown time period.
For our kids, going on tours are like, “Agar swimming pool me Nahi kudhe to, kya tour pe Gaye”. So, in spite of chilling December, we dived into the freezing water of the pool. Tasty food at the poolside with DJ playing our favourite songs was fun though.
The most ultimate fun on the tour was the Neon Party. The glowing decoration and all the people dressed in neon theme added 4 stars to the party. The DJ was super awesome. Hum to saare sharam aur laaj chodke, aise nache ki, ghungroo hi toot gaye. To add to it, we being in Gujarat, at last SANEDO was played, on which the teenagers of the group rocked it. It was fun to dance with them.
The next day was to visit the pride of India, the tallest statue in the world, the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s, Statue of Unity. Viewing the panoramic view of the Sardar Sarovar Dam, 500 feet above the ground inside the Statue of Unity, was a different experience altogether. The laser show in the evening, projected on the gigantic statue, was superb.
The last day was for Swami Narayan temple in Poicha. It was a beautiful temple and the weather was soothing to roam around in it.
The efforts taken by the JCI management team, in making it a successful trip, are commendable. To manage such a huge group, from booking tickets to gathering everybody for departure, getting them settled in a train, managing their bus travels throughout the trip, hotel rooms alignments, organizing events, providing food bags every time, in busses, trains, rooms, to the safe arrival at Ujjain station, with so much luggage and kids, is not an easy job.
Looking forward to more such trips with the group.
